Small Groups

At New Life, we believe that a healthy church happens when people intentionally grow in their relationship with God and others!

We make small groups available so people can make the kind of close connections that might not otherwise occur in a large church setting. Our small groups come in various forms. Read on for more information or please call the office at 536-5433.

  • Growth groups are small groups that gather at the church and focus on a specific topic. They last 10 to 14 weeks, three times a year (based on trimesters), and are typically offered on Wednesdays and Sundays.
  • Home groups gather outside the church at various times and days of the week with the idea of doing life together. Discussions are generally centered around the Sunday morning sermon to purposefully help you apply what you are learning to real life. They can also revolve around common interests, such as hiking or quilting. Some groups are ongoing, while others meet at different times of the year.
  • The Pulse is where to start if you are unsure about joining a small group. This four-week gathering, led by Pastor Mark, will give you a good idea of what it's like to be part of a group. We typically offer Pulse classes at the beginning of each trimester.

Home Groups

Get involved in a home group to coincide with our  Message series, First Responders. For the next 3 weeks, Pastor Mark will share about New Life's role in our community!  Groups will cover additional material as a supplement to the Sunday morning message.

For more information on joining a home group or hosting your own, email Pastor Suz at

The Pulse

New to New Life? Want to get more involved? The Pulse is a four-week small group led by Pastor Mark Tucker that will introduce you to our vision and values. You will meet other staff members and leaders, and receive info about the history, mission and purpose of New Life Community Church. You will have the opportunity to find out about various ways to serve, as well as apply for church membership if you desire. At New Life, we believe  if you have a pulse, you have a purpose!

  • New! The Truth Project (Co-ed Class)

  • Men's Ministry: Men Under Construction

    Facilitator: Ron Owen

Not perfect? Not a problem. Our Under Construction study for men meets each week to discuss Biblical topics relevant to everyday life and offers practical guidelines for living as a powerful Christian in these times. Get built up as you become the man of God that Christ has called you to be.

  • New! Women's Ministry: Conquer Fear, Capture Faith

Facilitator: Debby Tourville | Book: $25

What keeps most of God's people from completely fulfilling all that He has created them to do? This Bible study will help you discover your rightful inheritance in Christ by conquering the fears that have invaded your life. This is not a DVD-based study; Wednesday night gatherings will be based on intense weekly reading material and homework.

  • Prayer Ministry: Truly Free

Facilitators: Curtis & Barbara Johnson | Book: $10

As believers, we have Christ and never need to be afraid—yet we are not immune to the effects of evil. Even if we're saved and trust in Christ, we may still find areas in which we just can't get victory. This study, by Robert Morris, will help us break free from the patterns that entangle us day after day, month after month, and even year after year.
